Dr. Karen Leshkivich, D.V.M.

Company owner Dr. Karen Leshkivich is firmly committed to continuing the tradition of excellence and compassion established by her predecessors. She purchased the Mattydale Animal Hospital in May 2001 and has been a member of its veterinary staff since 1995.

A 1994 graduate of the Veterinary College at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Leshkivich specializes in dental, reproductive, and exotic medicine, especially for rabbits, ferrets, and reptiles. Dr. Leshkivich enjoys breeding, training, and showing championship bloodhounds. Her current pets include eight bloodhounds, two cats, and two parrots.

Dr. Tessa Green, D.V.M.

Dr. Tessa Green is a 2018 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys hiking, reading and horseback riding. She shares her life with 4 dogs, a hairless cat, 3 horses, a lizard, a betta fish and 50 chickens. She enjoys treating all animals “that can fit in the door” and is excited to meet you and your furry or not-so-furry family members!

Dr. Patrick Hennigan, D.V.M

Dr. Hennigan earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, graduated with highest honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Dr. Hennigan completed a surgical internship at AMSC Scottsdale Arizona in July 2020. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but takes special interest in anesthesia, surgery and emergency critical care. Outside of work he enjoys several outdoor activities. Dr. Hennigan has  a yellow Labrador Retriever named Halley who has traveled with him since 2010.
